Biography
Ordinary Professor, Disciplinary scientific area: Physical sciences, Scientific discipline: FIS / 07 APPLICATION PHYSICS (TO CULTURAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, BIOLOGICAL AND MEDICINE GOODS )Dependence Department: physics department
Research Interest
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: in the field of electronic and structural properties of materials, both by methods from first principles, and through the use of Hamiltonian-model. Particular attention has been paid to the use of localized functions, both in the study of perfect crystals and clusters. Recent interests concern Carbon nanostructures. It is also concerned with the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques to predict material properties, and more generally, object-oriented analysis in computational physics.
