Biography
Maria G. Corda graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Cagliari in 1976. In the following years she has been researcher in biochemistry neuropsychopharmacology at first as a fellow of the National Research Council (1978-1980) and from January 1981 to December 1983 as a Visiting Scientist at the Laboratory of Preclinical Pharmacology (NIMH - NIH, USA, led by Prof. Erminio Costa). Since 1981 he has been teaching and neuro-pharmacological research at the University of Cagliari, first (1981-1988) as Researcher at the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN. and subsequently as Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy. His research activity is aimed at clarifying the behavioral and neurochemical effects of psychotropic drugs in animal models of psychiatric disorders.
