Biography
Pierangelo Luporini is full professor of zoology the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Camerino, Italy. He earned his Ph.D. at the University Pisa, Italy. He has published more than 100 reviewed papers, and was author of numerous reviews and book chapters. He has been teaching experience of more than 30 years in systematics and evolution of invertebrates and in protozoology. He served as secretary of the Italian Society of Zoology and as president of the Italian Society of Protozoology. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals in the area of cell biology and protistology. He organized European conferences and workshops on protistology and ciliate biology.
