Biography
Associate Professor for SSD AGR 01 Economy and Rural Estimate. He teaches Environmental Economics at the degree in "Planning and Protecting the Territory and Landscape"; Rural estimate, in master's degree in "Agricultural Sciences and Technologies". He is a member of the College of Teachers of the International PhD in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Science, with administrative headquarters at the University of Catania and the Board of the University Center for the Protection and Management of Natural Environments and Agro-Ecosystems (Cutgana ).
Research Interest
Evaluation of environmental assets and natural resources; assessment of biodiversity and of natural capital; conservation policies and management activities of natural ecosystems, biodiversity and landscape; choice experiments and contingent valuation studies; models of demand for environmental resources for recreational purposes; evaluation and mapping of GIS services of ecosystems; assessment of benefits for the protection of animal breeds of zootechnical interest at risk of extinction; forestry externality accounting in decision tools; biodiversity banking ; estimates of damage from natural disasters; estimate the impacts of climate change on agriculture and ecosystems; methodologies for estimating real estate; real estate market analysis.
