Giuseppe Pappalardo

Biography

Born in Catania on March 28, 1958 he graduated in the 1982-83 academic year at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Catania. Since 1991 he is a Technical Officer at the Institute of Topography and Rural Buildings. By resolution No. 11 of July 9, 1996, the Council of the Faculty of Agriculture appointed him a cultor of matter. Since March 2001 he has been a researcher at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Department of Construction and Territory, of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Catania. During the academic years from 2001 to 2005 he was taught the teaching of "Constructions and Plant for Protected Cultures" (CDL in Catania Science and Technology Agencies); During the academic years from 2003 to 2010 he was taught the teaching of "Relief and Representation of the Territory" (CDL in Planning and Management of Areas in Green Parks and Gardens located in Caltagirone); during the academic year 2003-2004 he was taught the teaching of "Analysis and planning of agricultural and forestry systems" (CDL in Tropical and Subtropical Agrarian Sciences, based in Ragusa); During the academic years 2004 to 2010 he is deputy of "Rural Buildings and Animal Production" (CDL 47 / S activated by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Messina). During the academic years from 2005 to 2010 he was taught the teaching of "Elements of Cartography and Representation (CdL in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies). In 2011, 2012 and 2014 he is taught Geomatica (Local Development and Environment Management and Environmental Management) teaching. He has participated as a component in several scientific research projects of major national interest, focusing mainly on the definition of parameters for the design of dairies for the production of doc cheeses, honey and vegetable processing and study of the problems linked to the planning of the area with particular reference to the upgrading of periurban or fringe agricultural areas and the study of the connotative characters of traditional rural buildings in relation to the landscape.
