Research Interest

With regard to scientific production for the issues closely related to ergonomics and safety in the studies conducted and proven by the considerable number of publications made. In particular, in recent years, this interest has become highly specific and recognized by third parties, first of all INAIL, as best described in the didactic production, and also within the Department of Awareness - Mechanical Section and Mechanization. In addition, Luciano Caruso is co-author of scientific papers that were presented at national and international conferences, whose results have often been published in specialized journals. Experimental research has covered various topics of agricultural mechanization, referring to the Mediterranean crops, both herbaceous and herbaceous, and protected crops. Research conducted can be presented by topic: Mechanization of cultivation operations related to citrus fruits and figs of India; Collection of tree plants with reference to hazelnuts, almonds and pistachios; Ergonomics, safety and hygiene of the work, relative to the execution of colturali operations relative to crops arboree; Operations concerning plants and mechanized milking operations of cattle and sheep; Distribution of pesticides in citrus fruits and protected apprestaments; Work and energy jobs of whole cultivation processes of horticultural crops in protected apprenticeships; Conservation and conservation of soil by erosion by impoverishment of organic matter; Post-harvest operations of a variety of crops, such as the study of the impacts of orange and figs in India during transit through post-harvest processing lines, using computerized sensors released in-line between fruits .
