Biography
Massimiliano Leigheb was Born in Turin (Italy) the 5th-12-1971. After a clinical period at Linkoping University (Sweden), and research activity at the Orthopaedic-Research-Unit of Cambridge University (U.K.), in 1997 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery (MD) at Turin University†(Ita). In 1997-’98 Dr Leigheb attended Cochin University Hospital in Paris (F). In 1998-’99 he worked as Medical Officier of the Italian Army at the Militar Academy in Modena. In 2003 he specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Modena University (Ita). Since 2003 Dr Leigheb carries out research and teaching activities (“Functional and Clinical Human Anatomy of Locomotive Apparatusâ€, “Locomotive Apparatus Deseasesâ€, “Orthopaedics and Traumatologyâ€) at the School of Medicine of “Università del Piemonte Orientale†(UPO) (Ita). Since 2005 to date Mr Leigheb is Medical Manager in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at “AOU Maggiore della carità †University Hospital in Novara (Ita). In 2007 he got the PhD Degree in degenerative patologies and immunopatology at Insubriae University in Varese (Ita); in 2008 the II level Master in Hand and MicroSurgery at Modena Univesity (Ita); in 2010 the Microsurgical Techniques Degree at Cardarelli Hospital in Napoli (Ita). Since 2009 he is Tutor at the post graduate Practical Fellowship for Medical Licence at UPO (Ita). In the Academic Year 2010-'11 he’s been Contract Professor at the Specialization School in Emergency Medicine at UPO (Ita). Since 2007 Professor Leigheb is Teacher at the Master in Emergency and Critical Area Medicine at UPO (Ita). Since 2013 to date M. Leigheb is contract Professor of “Functional and Clinical Anatomy of Locomotive Apparatusâ€, at UPO (Ita). Prof. Leigheb has been speaker or auditor at more than 140 courses and congresses.
