Alba Patrizia Santo
Researcher
Department of Earth Sciences
University of Firenze
Italy
Biography
Dr. Santo is currently employed by the University of Florence as a researcher. Her research activity has been focused on the petrology and geochemistry of magmatic processes. She is the author or coauthor of several publications. She is currently collaborating with the Department of Nuclear Physics of the University of Florence in a research aimed at the application of IBA (Ion Beam Analyzes) techniques (eg PIXE, PIGE, RBS) to the analysis of minerals and groundmass in rock samples and with the IGG (Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources, Italy).
Research Interest
The research activity was based on one hand on merit issues, in the study of genesis and evolution of magmatic rocks, and on the other on the development of innovative analytical methodologies for the determination, in particular, of the content of trace elements in minerals and rocks and for the study of detail of compositional zones in minerals.
