Biography
Born in Pistoia on 10.7.1949, resident in Florence in via dei Macci 19. Celibe. He has performed all his university career, from CNR fellow associate professor, in Florence, with the exception of a year of assignment in Pisa. He has been visiting several foreign universities (Pittsburgh, Boston, Rio de Janeiro, St. Andrews, Stirling, Berlin, Cambridge UK). He has been teaching and research activities in the organization of cultural events and publicity activities (he is the editorialist of "Repubblica" and co-worker of Sunday of "Il sole24ore").
Research Interest
History of philosophical thought of the twentieth century, history of scientific philosophy, history of medicine and psychiatry, history and philosophy of psychoanalysis, theory of knowledge, philosophy of human sciences, science and humanism in modern Italian culture (with particular theoretical interest in the figures of Giulio Preti and Sebastiano Timpanaro).
