Biography
Andrea Simoncini is an Ordinary Professor of Constitutional Law at the Department of Juridical Sciences of the University of Florence. He teaches constitutional law, environmental law and regional law at the School of Law and Public Law Institutions at the School of Economics and Management. He was Fulbright Distinguished Fellow at the Notre Dame Law School and visiting professor at the Nanovic Institute for European Studies. He is currently visiting professor at Notre Dame Law School. He was assistant professor of Professor Ugo De Siervo at the Constitutional Court between 2002 and 2003.

Areas of interest: - Constitutional law (constitutional and regional law ) - European constitutional law - Evolution and dynamics related to the sources of law (impact of regulation, cost of regulation, self-regulation and better regulation) - Public law (right of cultural activities; of Energy, Environmental Law, Banking Foundations, Subsidiarity) - Relationships between Contemporary Theories of Natural Law and Constitutional Law
