Biography
Graduated in 1975 at the University of Florence, he is a specialist in General Surgery (Univ. Firenze 1980), in Vascular Surgery (Univ. Bologna 1985), Cardioangiosurgery (Univ. Bologna 1990). Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Florence. Since 1996 she has been responsible for the contracted VOU of Careggi Hospital. Since 1997 Director of the Vascular Surgery School of the University of Florence. He is responsible for numerous studies and research in many fields of surgery and vascular disease. Lecturer in the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery and at many specialized schools at the Fiorentina University. He is author of several monographs, textbook chapters and more than 300 scientific publications of vascular surgery on major international scientific journals in the industry. Associate Editor of the Italian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery and Minerva Cardioangiologica. Health Ministry's expert for the ECM Program Founder of the Italian Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, of which he was National Councilor and Secretary. Member of the Italian Society of Vascular Pathology and the Italian Society of Vascular Diagnostics - GIUV, of which he was a member of the National Board of Directors. He is a member of the European Society for Vascular Sorgery (ESVS) and "International Member" of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS).
