Biography
Graduated in Letters (with an artistic historical address) in Florence in 1989 with a thesis in Museology and Collectibles History, he specialized in Art History in Siena in 1994 and holds his PhD in Art History at Sapienza in 2000. Assisted in the teaching of Art History in the Secondary and Artistic Secondary Education Schools and Institutions, has for many years collaborated with the Superintendence of Environmental, Architectural, Artistic and Historical Heritage for the province of Arezzo and with for the Superintendence of the Arts and Historical Heritage for the provinces of Florence and Pistoia for the filing of the artistic patrimony. For the Municipal Library of Siena it has been dealing with the computerized cataloging of the antique print fund. He has been a fellow of the Fondazione di Studi di Storia dell'Arte "Roberto Longhi" in Florence and of the Humanities Studies (SSSU) for the Production and the Transmission of Memory - University of Siena. Researcher since 2007, since October 2015 is associate professor of Art History, Scientific / disciplinary sector LART / 04, and teaches Museology and Collectibles History at the Three Year Course of History and Protection of Archaeological, Artistic and Library Archives, and at the master's degree in Art History of the University of Florence. He is a member of the Doctoral School of Doctoral School in History of Art and Performing Arts at the University of Florence.
