Biography
Graduated in Hydraulic Civil Engineering at the University of Florence in 1976, in 1990 he was Ordinary of Hydraulics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Udine. In 1994 he moved to the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence where he currently holds the courses of Mechanics of Fludi and Fluid Hydraulics.
Research Interest
The research activities cover the following themes: watercourse dynamics, interactions between hydraulic and floating currents, hydraulic modeling, solid transport, monitoring and measurements in natural algae, analysis of hydraulic risk with particular reference to the vulnerability of the river banks river. Since 2011, he has been a member of the Great Commission for National Civil Protection.
