Research Interest

My scientific and research activity was mainly carried out in SSD MED45, with a special focus on pediatric nursing and people with cystic fibrosis; I have also been involved in infectious nursing with a special focus on: prevention of cross-infection from respiratory pathogens in cystic fibrosis; quality of life in patients with chronic disease; management of peripheral venous catheters, detection and management of painful symptomatology and procedural pain, especially in chronic patients; nursing of the diabetic patient; Special interest has always been directed at assisting patients belonging to ethnic minorities and integration issues. However, I have also been in other fields, focusing in particular on the determination of anthropometric standards for Italian babies and other ethnic groups, the incidence of cystic fibrosis in ethnic minorities; the clinical benefits of neonatal screening for people with FC and the effects of the Chinese One Child Family Policy. I also deal with clinical risk management, assessment of care complexity, nursing stress and burn-out, delivery assistance models. I cultivate a particular interest in biomedical research methodology, biomedical statistics, bibliographic research methodology in online databases I also deal with clinical epidemiological research and clinical nursing research.
