Biography
She graduated in Oriental Literature at the University of Venice "Ca 'Foscari" in 1985. She has twice been a fellow of the Japanese Government (1982-1983, 1986-88), completing studies at the University's Faculty of Letters of Kyôto (Kyôto Daigaku). In 1990 he received the post of researcher at the Faculty of Magisterium of the University of Florence. Since 1996 he has been teaching at this university the teaching of Japanese Philology.
Research Interest
He deals with classical Japanese literature. His research now focuses on the developments of the waka between the 9th and the 10th centuries, with particular reference to the following topics: adaptation of the kanshi compositional models to the waka in the age of rokkasen ; Ono no Komachi (mid-9th century) and the evolution of the "female lyrical" ( honored ) in the 10th century; the features of the tale in the Gosen wakashû and in the centimeter texts ( utamonogatari , narratives poetical collections) of the tenth century.
