Biography

Prof. G. Laffi was born on December 28, 1949 in Borgo S. Lorenzo (Florence) and completed his university studies at the University of Florence where he graduated with the highest marks and praise, discussing a thesis from titled "Therapy and therapy of 140 cases of chronic evolutionary hepatitis", Prof. Paolo Gentilini, Professor Chiar.mo. In the same year he was admitted to the School of Specialization in Digestive Disease Diseases, in 1978 he obtained the Diploma of Specialist with the highest marks and praise. In 1976 he successfully performed the practical training at the Medical Clinic of the University of Florence directed by Prof. U. Theodori. Prof. G. Laffi won a scholarship banned by the CNR (201.4.9 of 29/11/1975) and from 1977 he took part in the Medical Pathology III of the University of Florence directed by Prof. P. Gentilini, where he remained uninterrupted until the completion of the first round of fitness assessments for researchers. From September 1981 he became a researcher at the Medical Clinic IV of the University of Florence, directed by Prof. P. Gentilini and since 1983 is a full-time partner.

Research Interest

abnormal changes in renal hemodynamics during cirrhosis, to the deepening of the mechanisms of the pathophysiology of the abdomen, with particular reference to the renal prostaglandin system, renin-angiotensin system and natriuretic factors. finally, studies on the treatment of the abdomen.
