Biography
Professor Gian Aristide Norelli was born in Siena on August 1, 1949 and is Professor of Legal Medicine since 1990, first at the University of Perugia, then from 1998 at the University of Florence. He is Director of the Department of Legal Medicine at the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Legal Medicine of the University of Florence. He is Director of SODc Hospital-University Careggi of Florence. Former President of the Italian Group of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology, he is the Director of the Master in "Forensic Odontology" at the University of Florence; is President of the Tuscan Society of Legal Medicine and Insurance; former vice-president of the Italian Society of Legal Medicine from 2001 to 2004, is Chairman of the College of Lecturers in Legal Medicine. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of National Medical Journal.
