Biography
Gianfranco Bandini is an ordinary professor of History of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education at the University of Florence, where he has been able to combine research activities in this disciplinary field with numerous teaching activities in various three-year and master courses; He is also a professor of PhD in Science in Education and Psychology (Department of Science in Training and Psychology, University of Florence). She is interested in the eighteenth-century pedagogical and educational themes in a historical-social key, with particular attention to methodological-historiographic reflection and digital documentation. It has been involved in the history dellistruzione in the state of Lucca ( The Psalter, Santacroce and the alphabet . Primary Listruzione in the State of Lucca in the first half dellOttocento, 1998) and in Tuscany during the Napoleonic period ( Education in Tuscany in 1809-1810 . From Georges Cuvier's Report to Napoleon I, 2000) and Risorgimento. He carried out research on the unitary period, especially on Michele Coppino's ministerial activity, on the editorial production of the Bemporad publishing house and on the teaching of geography. From a more strictly pedagogical point of view he has dealt with twentieth-century issues concerning American neopragmatism (cf. R. Certini,Borders of postmodern formation . American Neopragmatism and Educational Problems , 2003) and adoption of adopted children ( Adoption and Training, Pedagogical Guide for Parents, Teachers and Educators , 2007).
