Biography
Ordinary Professor of History of Political Doctrines at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy (2002-2012), from 2013 in the SAGAS Department of the University of Florence.
Research Interest
Lea CAMPOS BORALEVI studied Bentham's social and political philosophy and utilitarianism and the history of feminism. He also devoted himself to the theory of political bondage, to the history of social doctrines about tolerance and property. He has opened a new set of research on the theme of Respublica Hebraeorum as a political and social model in the history of European political thought, with the care and introduction of De Republica Hebraeorum by Petrus Cunaeus, Florence, CET, 1996 and the monographic number of « Political Thought "(XXV, 2002, 3), curated by D. Quaglioni, on Biblical Polytheism ( also included as autonomous volume, Florence, Olschki, 2003) as well as numerous essays on national and international journals . He has promoted and directed, together with V. Collina (University of Florence, Faculty of Political Science) and B. Consarelli (University of RomeTre), an interdisciplinary group on Figures of Space, Politics and Society (2002-2010), " with the aim of investigating the great political and social issues of modern and contemporary in terms of space and production ", whose results are published in the Quaderni of a special edition of the Florence University Press. He was the Scientific Coordinator of the National Interest Research Program (PRIN 2007), co-funded by MIUR, on " CHALLENGING CENTRALISM - Decentralization and Association in Modern and Contemporary European Political Thought".
