Name: Luca Bindi Date of Birth: 02 December 1971 Place of Birth: Prato, Italy Nationality: Italian 1996 Degree in Geology, University of Florence 2001 Ph.D. in Mineralogy and Petrology, University of Florence & Perugia Employment following Ph.D .: (1) post-doctoral research position in mineralogical crystallography - University of Florence (2000-2004); (2) temporary researcher in Mineralogy - University of Florence (2004-2006); (3) Main Curator of the Mineralogy of the Natural History Museum of the University of Florence, Italy (2006-2011); (4) Associate Professor of Mineralogy and Crystallography at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence (2011-present). (5) Habilitation as Full Professor of Mineralogy and Crystallography (from February 2014) He is also Associated Scientist of the CNR - Institute of Geosciences and Georisorse since 2009.
