Mara Bruzzi
Associate Professor
Department of Physics and Astronomy
University of Firenze
Italy
Biography
Mara Bruzzi graduated in Physics at the University of Milan in 1988 with 110/110 cum laude, on a thesis on radiation damage in silicon detectors for experiments in high energy physics. Associated to the INFN in Florence from 1990 and from 1988 at Geneva CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research), she received a PhD in Energy Engineering in 1993 at the University of Florence. She is Assistant Professor in General Physics from 1995 to 2001, she is Associate Professor in Experimental Physics (FIS01) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Florence.
Research Interest
The study of electrical transport properties in advanced semiconductor materials such as: nanostructured carbon, epitaxial silicon carbide, titanium dioxide. He studied polycrystalline and epitaxial SiC diamonds as particle detectors and radiation dosimeters (gamma, X and UV).
