Biography
1982-1986: internal student at the Department of Biochemical Sciences (University of Florence). 1986: Degree in Biological Sciences (Voting: 110/110) at the University of Florence. AA 1987-1988: enrollment in the profession of biologist (vote 150/150). 1987-1991: Ph.D. in Physiology at the Department of Physiological Sciences of the University of Florence. 1989-1990: Study period at the University of London (Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology). 1992: holds the title of PhD in Physiology. 1992-1993: scientific consultant of the Menarini Pharmaceuticals in Florence. 1994-1996: scholarship for post-doctoral research (Department of Physiological Sciences of the University of Florence). 1996-1997: co-ordinated and continuous collaboration within a Telethon research project. 1997-2002: Technical Operator (V qualification) at the Department of Physiological Sciences of the University of Florence. 2002-2006: holds the position of a university researcher confirmed for the disciplinary sector BIO / 09 (Physiology) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Florence. 2006: Eligibility for associate professor (disciplinary science sector BIO / 09-Physiology). From 1-11-2006 he is associate professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Florence. From 1-11-2009 is associated confirmed at the aforementioned Faculty.
Research Interest
The research activity is mainly aimed at the study of the nervous and hormonal control of gastrointestinal motility in animal models both "in vivo" and "in vitro".
