Biography

Maria Chiara Barbieri graduated in Literary Mathematics at the Faculty of Magisterium of the University of Florence, and at the same university she obtained the title of Doctor of Research in the History of the Performing Arts.  From 2003 to 2007 he has been a professor of "Theology Iconography", "History of Theater and Entertainment" and "Informatics for Artistic Discipline and Performing Arts" for the Faculty of Architecture and Letters and Philosophy of the University of Studies in Florence. Since 2007, she has been a researcher at the Art Discipline (L-Art / 05) at the Department of History of Arts and Entertainment and is an aggregate professor at the three-year degree in "Modern Literature" at the three-year degree in "DAMS" and in master's degree in "Musicology and Musical Goods". For "DAMS", she also plays tutor activities for the theater choir.  Since 1995, he has been part of the research group "Dionysos - Digital Archive of Iconography Theatrical" at the Department of History of Arts and Performing Arts at the University of Florence, made by Cesare Molinari. Research Interest

His scientific interests relate in particular to the history of actors and acting between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries of English and the theatrical iconography from the classic antiquity to the nineteenth century.
