Biography
Since 1995 she is a Researcher in the disciplinary field MED / 39 Infantile Neuropsychiatry, at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence, Department of Neurological and Psychiatric Sciences. It carries out full-time care at the SOD of NPI of the University Hospital of Careggi (Director Prof. M. Papini). Since 1997 he has been an Ordinary Member of the Italian Society for Childhood, Adolescent and Couple Psychotherapy, SIPsIA, headquartered in Rome. The areas of clinical research and researchmainly concern: on adolescent abnormalities and in particular on Alimentary Disorders; on early age psychopathologies, in particular on early diagnosis of eating disorders and self-regulation; on children who are victims of abuse and ill-treatment. In these areas, it carries out both clinical and supervisory and coordination activities of clinical groups. Since 1993 she has been a continuous consultant and supervisor at the Midwifery Psychoprophylaxis Service and is currently referring to the interdisciplinary path of AOUC's Perinatal Mental Health. It is referent to the evolutionary age of the AOUC Center for Violence. As an ongoing education, since 2007, she is a supervisor of the Prato Food Behavior Disorders Operator Group. In these areas it carries out research and training activities in the various sectors, it is present at technical tables in the Tuscany Region for: Food Behavioral Disorders, Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Mental Health Projects. He teaches at the faculties of Medicine and Surgery, Science of Education and Psychology at the University of Florence. Since 2004 she has been coordinating the Master's Degree in Food Evolutionary Disorders Disturbance, promoted by the Chair of NPI in Florence.
Research Interest
The main research area is related to the clinical research and clinical intervention methodology of heart and adolescent mental clinic, the psychopathology of eating disorders in children, with particular reference to early beginnings and shapes of the first and second childhood. In recent years, pilot projects have been implemented on the application of integrated medicine treatments in these disorders (Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, Therapeutic Activity carried out with Animals)
