Biography

Born in ALESSANDRIA on June 17, 1948, he earned the SCIENTIFIC MATURITY at G. GALILEI high school in the same city. Graduated in MEDICINE AND SURGERY with praise at the University of Pavia in July 1973, he specialized in OCULISTICA with praise in July 1977   at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University of Florence. From June 1, 1977 to July 31, 1980 he was Assistant Professor at the Ophthalmology Clinic of the University of Florence and from 1 August 1980 CONFIRMED RESEARCHER for the group of disciplines No. 67. Since 1992 he is a PROFESSOR ASSOCIATED IN PHYSIOPATHOLOGICAL OPTICS, being eligible for the FREE COMPETITION ASSOCIATE for the F140 Group (Visual Impairment), banned by Ministerial Decree of 28 July 1990; since 1995 has been confirmed in this role. Clinical activity was performed with regularity as well as surgical surgery directed in particular to   vitreo-retinal disease. The teaching activity has been ongoing since 1978, having lectured in the Bachelor of Medicine in Medicine and Surgery, at the School of Specialization in Ophthalmology and within the DU Course for Orthopedists and Ophthalmology Assistants. Scientific activity, in line with clinical and surgical interests, is vast, proven by numerous publications and participation in national and international research and trial programs. Since 2009 she has been responsible for the Emergency Relief Service of OOD Oculistica Careggi, Largo Brambilla, 3 - 50134 Florence (Italy) Since January 1, 2012 he is president of the Degree Course for Orthopedics and Assistants in Ophthalmology at the University of Florence.
