Biography
1979 Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence with a vote of 110/110 and praised and qualified for the profession of Doctor-Surgeon. 1980 Begins to pursue professional activities within SSN and R. He obtains the contract for the teaching of human anatomy at the ISEF in Florence 1981 Serves military service as an officer in the Military Medical Corps 1982 Gets the contract for the teaching of human anatomy at the course for Physiotherapists. 1983 Graduates in Clinical and Laboratory Hematology at the University of Florence with a thesis on morphological techniques of hematology diagnostics. 1984-1987 They study at various locations. In 1984-85 he co-operated with Professor FMAntonimi for the organization of medicine courses for the University for the Free Age. The activity at these courses is still ongoing. 1988 Wins a contract of human anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Sassari University. This position continues in 1989. 1990 Wins a national competition for first-person teaching of human anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Sassari 1992 He also assumes the position of lecturer in the Topographic Anatomy course and dissecting course at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Sassari 1994 He is called by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence to undertake the teaching of Human Anatomy. 1998 Creates an interdisciplinary study group for the study of atmospheric pollution pathologies. In the following years he participated in the creation of the Inter-departmental Biometeorology Center, of which he is still a member. 1999 Participates in the creation of the Degree Course in Motor Science that replaces the dissolved ISEF in Florence by performing several positions as chairman of some commissions. 2001 He is elected Chair of the Socrates / Erasmus commissariat of the Degree in Medicine and Surgery. During his presidency, the trade program takes on considerable significance, decisive in placing the Florentine medical faculty in the international rating. 2001-2007 He is elected President of the Master's Degree in Science and Technology 2007 He is elected President of the Degree in Motor Science, currently in charge.
Research Interest
The research activity is a singing on the morphological, ultrastructural and biological-molecular study of cell-environment interactions and the environment-organism in different experimental models concerning both physiology and human pathology, on the other hand, on clinical applications of morphological study, both in the diagnostic imaging and on the field of oncology therapy.
