Biography
Student of Diego Carpitella, graduated in Letters at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and conducted his musical studies at the Music Conservators of Frosinone and Cagliari, obtaining the double bass diploma. Since 2002 he has been Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at the University of Florence; in the same university, he established and coordinated the activities of the permanent intercultural seminar , which came to the seventh edition (2010) and is a member of the College of Professors of the PhD in History of the Performing Arts. He has been a member of a number of comparative evaluation procedures for university researcher positions in the disciplinary field L-Art / 08 Etnomusicologia as an elected member and designated member. As a component of specific commissions, he participated in the evaluation of numerous doctoral theses at Italian PhDs (Turin, Cremona-Pavia, Rome "La Sapienza", Bologna, Siena, Florence) and abroad (Université de Montréal [Quebec, Canada] Faculté de Musique).
