Biography
Born in Florence in 1948. Classical Maturity, graduate in Architecture History, Associate Professor (ICAR 18)
Research Interest
He was interested in sixteenth-century architecture (a monograph on Antonio da Sangallo the Elder) and especially in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, publishing numerous works: with R. Bossaglia he prepared a book on I Coppedè (1982); alone or with other scholars he has dealt with the nineteenth-century events of the Florence Cathedral (1987) and, with more volumes, of the building in Tuscany from the 17th to the 20th centuries; in the applied and decorative arts sector, he has dedicated monographs to the history of the abbey of Volterra and to the artistic industry of the mid-nineteenth century (1996).
