Biography

Dr. Patrizia Bogani is Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Science, University of Florence, Italy Degree in Biology at the Faculty of Science, University of Florence, Italy with a thesis in Genetics 1981-1990: temporary posts with dedicated contracts supported by grants funded by public institutions. 1983: Admitted to the National Biology Register, Rome. 1991-2000: Technician at the Department of Animal Biology and Genetics, University of Florence. 2001-present: Senior Researcher in Genetics at the Faculty of Science, University of Florence, Italy. Current research interests: molecular analysis of genetic diversity in in vitro and in vivo plant systems. The molecular characterization of genetic diversity in cellular clones and specimens has been based on the study of genomic flow through methylation and sequence repeats amplification experiments, and sequence polymorphism analysis with neutral and functional molecular markers

Research Interest

the research interest was focused on the horizontal transfer of genes to plants with the aim of studying the pleiotropic effects of their integration into the host genome, on the growth and development of plants.
