Renzo Guardenti

Biography

Associate Professor in the SSD L-ART / 05 Discipline of the Performing Arts, earned the National Scientific Ability for the role of Ordinary Professor in 2013. He teaches History of Modern and Contemporary Theater at the Three Year Degree Course DAMS and Director Institutions at the Course of Magisterial Degree in Visual Science. From 2016 he was a member of the Academic Senate of the University of Florence as a Humanities and Training Representative. President of the DAMS Degree Course since 2011. He is a member of the College of Doctoral Research in History of Art and in the History of the Performing Arts. He is Chairman of the SAGAS Department of Education; He is also a member of the Council of the School of Humanities and Training. He taught as a professor invited to ' Université de Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle and the University of Caen-Basse Normandie, and held seminars organized by the University Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV) and the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris. He held lectures at the Instituto de Artes of the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho of São Paulo and at the Escola de Teatro of the Universidade Federal de Bahia. He is an international expert at the Center d'Études des Théâtres de Foire and the Comédie-Italienne of the University of Nantes and of OPSIS-Icon Icon Set of Theaters (Universidade de Lisboa, Centro de Estudos de Teatro). He is a member of the Management Committee of the magazine "Drammaturgia". From 2005 to 2012 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Department of History of Arts and Entertainment. From 2013 to 2016 he was a member of the SAGAS Department Board. From 2007 to 2009 he was Vice President of the DAMS Degree Course; From 2010 to 2011 he was responsible for the Ph.D. Show in History of Art and in the History of the Performing Arts. In 1997-98 he was responsible for the two-year course of theatrical trainingFrom scenarios production analysispromoted by the Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo and by IRRSAE Toscana and assigned to teaching staff of the schools of every order and degree of the provinces of Florence, Prato, Pistoia. From 1999 to 2001 he served as consultant for ETI - Ente Teatro Italiano. From 2002 to 2004 he was a member of the Governing Council of the CUT (University Consortium of the Theater - Association of University Teaching Physics Teachers). From 2003 to 2005 he was the Coordinator of the Products for the Performance of the Three Year Degree Course in Fashion Design at the Faculty of Architecture. He has been part of the editing of the magazine "Theatre Library" from 1988 to 1996 and from 2008 to 2009 he was a member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine "Ariel", in which he directed from 2003 to 2009 the section of theatrical iconographyDistant visions .
