Research Interest

Petrology, volcanology and geochemistry of volcanic rocks with the aim of elucidating: genetic processes of magma and their relationship with geodynamic processes, mantle composition, pre-eruptive mechanisms in active volcanoes, feeding systems of active and quiescent volcanoes and timescales of magma generation and storage . Isotope geochemistry of wine, grapes, olives and olive oil and their soil and geological substrate aimed at the geographical traceability of agricultural products and wine terroir.
