Biography
Born in Florence on April 18, 1952; in 1977 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence. In 1980 he graduated in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Florence. From 1977 to 2000 he is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence and since November 2000 is Associate Professor at the same University. Since 1989 he has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, NY, USA. In 1996 he was appointed "Fellow of the American College of Cardiology" Since 2003, he has been the Harvard Project Coordinator of Emergency-Urgency Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence. Since 2005 she is Coordinator for the Didactics and Research Department of the Department of Emergency Acceptance and Reception of the Hospital-University Careggi of Florence. Since 2007 she is Director of the Simulation Center of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence. Since 2008 he has been Director of the Comprehensive Intensive Care Unit of the Integrated Emergency-Acceptance Department and Medical and General Surgery Department, Urgency, Hospital-University Hospital Careggi of Florence. From 2008 to 2010 she is coordinator of the School of Specialization in Emergency-Urgency Medicine Since 2010 she is Director of the School of Specialization in Emergency-Urgency Medicine
