Biography

Born in Chianciano Terme (Siena) on July 1, 1961. Curriculum studiorum 1980 Degree from Liceo Classico "Angelo Poliziano" in Montepulciano (Siena). 1985 He has attended the Department of Clinical Medicine IV of the University of Florence, first as a student then, after medical degree, as a medical assistant. 1988 Degree in Medicine at the University of Florence magna cum laude. Dissertation is "Rhythms of histamine response and related syndromes". 1991 Residency in Hematology at the University of Florence. Thesis on "Phase-dependent effects of an induction-retard dose on circulating levels of Thromboxane B2" 1993 PhD in "Clinical Chronobiology" at the University of Florence completed in 1995. Dissertation on "Circadian Chronobiological Study of Crystallizing Melatonin Levels in Women with Central and Peripheral Obesity" 1994 Researcher at the Department of Internal Medicine of the University of Florence in 1999 Resedency in Cardiology at University of Siena, with a thesis titled "Circulating Endothelin-1 in Dipper and non-Dipper patients with hypertension"
