Biography
Sandro MORETTI is an Ordinary Professor of Physical Geography and Geomorphology at the University of Florence. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Survey with a specialization at Watershed Management at the International Training Center (ITC) in Enschede (The Netherlands). He has attended several specialization courses on programming and management of territorial data at the University of Florence. It has 30 years of research experience, documented by over 100 scientific publications in the field of environmental geology and landslides related to soil erosion and stability of the slopes. He is responsible for the remote sensing laboratory of the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Florence,
Research Interest
Research activities related to the application of various techniques and methodology of analysis and monitoring in different geographic and morphoclimatic contexts (South and Central America: Argentina, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, Swaziland, Central and Southern Italy) .
