Biography
He teaches Greek History and Historical Geography of the Ancient World. He has dealt with the peculiar aspects of political-comedy in the Acts of the fifth century. aC, of ​​attic law (murder, theft, rules on freedom of speech), antique historiography (Hysenics of Ossirinco and themes of the IV century BC), history of Beozia in the Hellenistic age, archaic Sicilian tyranny, politics and geography "scientific". He is author of numerous essays and volumes Falaride and Pseudofalaride: history and legend, Florence 1987; Plotà kai poreutà. On the Traces of An Anonymous Perifris, Florence 1990; Palea di Massalia, The Ocean, Introduction, Text, Translation and Comment, Pisa-Roma 1998; Historical Geography of the Ancient World, Bologna 2008. He is a scientific and coordinator of numerous national and international research projects, Berater of E. Kirsten Gesellschaft für Historische Geographie der Alten Welt, Berlin, member of the scientific committee of Erga-Logoi and of the scientific committee of Sileno magazine. He is part of the Scientific Committee of the Necklace "The fragments of Greek historians" directed by E. Lanzillotta (Roma Torvergata).
