Research Interest

Its main interest are the molecular mechanisms of viral infections and the development of antiviral immunopathogenesis. Topics: In the studies on Poliomavirus: his research deals with the study of viral molecular mechanisms and cellular receptors that may be involved in the re-activation of human polyomaviruses (JCyV) polyomavirus BK (BKPyV)) in immunosuppressed patients (HIV patients and patients with multiple sclerosis under the treatment of Natalizumab monoclonal drugs) and which may initiate the development of the diseases associated with these polyomaviruses (Progressive Multifocal Leucoencephalopathy, associated polypomavirus nephropathy).
