Biography
Simone Neri Serneri (1955) is an Ordinary Professor of Contemporary History at the Department of Political and Social Sciences and Teacher at the Cesare Alfieri School of Political Science at the University of Florence.
Research Interest
His research activities have developed in two prevailing directions. On the one hand, the history of Italy in the twentieth century, in particular the history of anti-fascism, resistance, workers' and trade union movement, political violence and social movements of the 1960s and 1970s. On the other hand, the history of the environment, as a story of material transformations, conflicts, policies and ideologies associated with the social use of resources.
