Biography
Stefano Manetti was born in Florence in 1951. He graduated in Electronics Engineering at the University of Florence in 1977. From 1980 to 1983 he was teaching Applied Electronics at the Naval Academy in Livorno. From 1983 to 1987 he was Researcher of Electrical Engineering and from 1987 to 1994 Associate Professor of Electrical Network Theory at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence. In 1994 he won the competition for Ordinary Professor of Electrotechnics. From 1994 to 1996, he was Professor at the University of Basilicata and since 1996 has been employed at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence. He was Chairman of the Faculty of Engineering in Florence from 2009 to 2012.
Research Interest
His research activities relate to the theory of circuits and, in particular, neural networks, the diagnosis of circuit breakdowns, commensurate condenser filters, symbolic circuit analysis techniques and their applications.
