Biography
Born in Bagno a Ripoli (FI) on March 12, 1953, since 1980 he has pursued his research activity at the Institute of Applied Chemistry at the University of Florence and then at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Technologies at the same University. Associate Professor since 1992, has been teaching on Materials Technology and Applied Chemistry and Materials Science and Technology for the Mechanical, Civil and Construction Sector.
Research Interest
Application and optimization of innovative cementation, nitriding and oxidation nitriding (ionic discharge, plasma spray), and polycrystalline diamond synthesis (cvd); · Study of the behavior and phase transformations of specially treated steels; behavior to fretting-fatigue wear and corrosion of special materials; · Physical and chemical characterization of nitrides and ossinitrids and polycrystalline diamonds; · Definition of the crystallographic characteristics of nitrides, and borocarbons, even with unconventional methods; · Polycrystalline diamond chemical-physical characterization for sensory uses.
