Vanna Boffo

Biography

Born in Grosseto (Italy) on the 10th of November 1959. She lives in Florence with her family. She has one son and two daughters. Education and Academic Path Scientific Abilitation for Full Professor in General and Social Pedagogy reached on 6th February 2015 (Italian Law No. 210 on 30th December 2010); Associate Professor in General Pedagogy and Adult Education at the University of Florence, Department of Education and Psychology (since 1/11/2014); Florence University held scholar (since 1/12/2007); Research fellow at the Florence University Department of Educational Sciences and Cultural and Training Processes (30/09 / 2006-30 / 09/2007); Temporary research associate at the Florence University Department of Educational Sciences and Cultural and Training Processes (01/07 / 2002-30 / 9/2006); PhD at the Florence University Department of Educational Sciences and Cultural and Training Processes (01/11 / 1999-30 / 07/2002, PhD obtained on 21/02/2003); Honorary fellow in Philosophy of Education at the University of Florence (2001-2002; 2002-2003 academic years); Degree in Pedagogy obtained at Florence University, grade 110/110 cum laude (30/10/1998);  Postgraduate Diploma in "Family Education" (26/02/1993); Postgraduate Diploma in Cultural Heritage and IT (04/06/1992); Degree in Philosophy obtained at Florence University, grade 110/110 cum laude (04/07/1990); Secondary school leaving certificate in classics from the "Dante Alighieri" school in Orbetello, grade 60/60 (12/07/1978).

Research Interest

The research is devoted to Theorical Investigation on the Basis of Subjectivity from a Communicative, Pedagogic and Family Education Point of View. In the last years, a new research path has looked at Adult Education and Pedagogy of Work. In depth, her research concerns The Care in Pedagogy, Critical Relational Reflexivity, Life Long Learning Education, Pedagogy of the Work.
