Biography
Degree in Physics (Nuclear Address) on 16/7/1985 at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, discussing a thesis titled "Measurement of Electrons of Conversion with a High Acceptance Magnetic Spectrometer". From 1983 to 1987, he worked in the field of low-energy nuclear physics, participating in a research plan aimed at experimentally testing Arima and Iachello's Interacting Boson Approximation 1 and 2 (IBA1 and IBA2) nuclear models on strongly nuclear transitions - forbid. Within the same research plan he participated in the project for the revision of a high electron accepting magnetic spectrometer used for the study of electron conversion in the energy range up to 3 MeV; this instrument is currently in use at the National Laboratories of Legnaro (Padova) and at the Nuclear Physics Section of the University of Florence. In 1986 he won the competition for admission to the specialization school in quantum electronics at the Institute of Optics at the University of Florence. In 1986 he won the competition for admission to the PhD in Applied Physiopathology at the Department of Clinical Physiopathology of the University of Florence. In 1990 he obtained his PhD degree in Applied Physiopathology with a thesis concerning an original work devoted to the physical-mathematical modi- fication of the variable geometric response effects, Compton diffusion and attenuation in iterative reconstructions of the SPECT brain data. In 1990 he won a competition for admission to university roles with the post of Technical Officer at the Department of Clinical Physiopathology of the University of Florence, Department of Nuclear Medicine, where he served since 1 January 1991. In addition , since 1991 he has been involved in the agreement with the Tuscany Region for the Careggi Hospital Company.
