Alfredo Vannacci

Biography

Born in Pistoia on January 24, 1975, after graduating in Medicine and Surgery (1999), he first attended the Specialization in Medical Toxicology (2003) and then the PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology (2006) at the University of Florence .

Research Interest

His interests in the medical field are located in particular in the fields of Pharmacology and Epidemiology, with particular reference to Medical Toxicology and Pharmacovigilance. She is also interested in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology, Epistemology and Research Methodology. Over the last 20 years he has been involved in basic and clinical research in the field of pharmacology and drug safety and phytotherapy (Pharmacovigilance and Fitovigilance). For over 10 years he has also been interested in Non Conventional Medicine, with particular reference to preclinical and clinical research and evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of these disciplines. In particular he is interested in Phytotherapy, Acupuncture and Chinese Traditional Medicine, also in reference to the theoretical, social, cultural and philosophical foundations of Chinese and Oriental thoughts in general (daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism). Always enthusiastic about computer science and programming, he founded in 2016 a joint laboratory of Technological Solutions for Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacovigilance and Bioinformatics (Scarab Lab), which is responsible for scientific research. Since 2006 she has been involved in the risk of pregnancy and the protection of perinatal health within the CiaoLapo Onlus Association, founded by Dr. Claudia Ravaldi and of which she is vice president and research manager. Since 2009 she has been interested in fertility, nutrition and supplementary medicine, in collaboration with the Maturian Association of which she is a founder and scientific collaborator.
