Biography

In 2002/2003 I was a member of the Co.re.com (Regional Communications Committee) in Tuscany and in 2003/2004 consultant of the Scientific Committee of General Linguistics, in the specific corporate communication component for the Multimedia Enciclopedia M @ rte project promoted by De Agostini . Since 2007 I have been a member of the Linguistics Doctorate College, where I am tutor of some PhD students who are specializing in linguistic communication topics. From 2013 I am delegated to the orientation for the degree in Communication Sciences in which I am also a member of various commissions. I am responsible for the PRIN Research Unit 2010/2011; The title of the project is: Linguistic and pragmatic devices of political communication: the delegitimization of the opponent. As far as scientific activity is concerned, I have developed and deepened some research lines on special languages, the notion of text and in general the relationship between media, cognitive skills, language education and identity formation. A substantial thematic core concerns intercultural communication and political language investigated both from the linguistic point of view and from the pragmatic and textual choices. I have also addressed issues relating to television communications and, in general, to mass media, specifically in relation to the formation of opinions and metaphorical proceedings; In several publications, I have been dealing with communication theory from a historical point of view as well.
