Carlo Dani has conducted many researches mainly on the following topics: - Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and phototherapy in relation to infant feeding, trans-epidermal water loss, cerebral blood flow, oxidative stress in preterm infants and inactivation of lung surfactant in the animal model. - Study of cerebral hemodynamics by "near infrared spectroscopy" of the infant baby, of preterm infants undergoing transfusion and in pharmacological therapy - Partial Liquid Ventilation Study in Premature Neonates and Total Liquid Ventilation in the Animal Model. - Study of Neonatal Mechanics Ventilation with particular reference to the prevention of "Chronic lung disease". - Study of the prevention of some of the most common complications of preterm infants, such as necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and sepsis with probiotics use, arterial ductility (PDA) and intravenous hemorrhage (IVH) with l 'ibuprofen. - Study of oxidative stress in the infant even in relation to the methods of delivery.
