Biography

Prof. Chiara Nediani was born in Mantua on 25/6/61 1985: graduated in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Science Physical and Natural Mathematical Sciences, University of Florence with the vote of 110/110 and praise 1986- Enabling the profession of Biologist 1989- Takes office as a Technical Officer at the Department of Biochemical Sciences of the University of Florence; 2001-becomes Researcher of Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Clinical Biology (BIO / 12) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence; 2003-obtained the Diploma of Specialization in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry. 2006- Takes Care as Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Clinical Biology (BIO / 12) at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence. CURRENT POSITION: Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (BIO / 12) at the University of Florence. DEGREE: Professor of Clinical Biochemistry in 3-Year Degree in Biotechnology (Medical-Pharmacy), Nursing, Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, Dietary and Master's Degree in Food Science and Dental Medicine. Lecturer of Systematic Human Biochemistry at the School of Specialization in Clinical Biochemistry. Professor in Masters in Transfusion and Obstetrics Medicine MAIN RESEARCH LINES a) mechanisms for regulating intracellular calcium homeostasis in skeletal and cardiac muscle; b) biochemical aspects and molecular mechanisms of myocardial damage induced by ischemia-reperfusion into cell lines of H9c2 rat embryonic cardiomyblasts; c) molecular mechanisms of myocardial damage induced in animal models subjected to pressure and volume overload; d) study of mechanisms induced by oxidative stress in human biopsies of cardiomyopathy-induced hearts with patients undergoing orthopedic cardiac transplantation. e) biochemical aspects and molecular mechanisms induced by amyloid aggregate into RIN-5F rat insulinoma cells f) biochemical aspects and molecular mechanisms induced by oleuropein polyphenol on amorphous aggregates, human neuroblastoma cells, cardiomyocytes and melanoma cells Component of several research project units: CNR project "Structure and function of bioactive peptides" Scientific research project of major national interest (PRIN) Heart failure Molecular and metabolic lesions induced in the myocardium by post-ischemic reperfusion and protective mechanisms "(1998-2000) Intracellular Crosstalk between the functional and metabolic mechanisms at the base of cardiac remodeling (2004-2006)
