1973: graduated from the University of Rome "La Sapienza". 1975: Diploma in Paleography, Diplomacy and Archives of the Vatican School 1976: Diploma of the Special School for Archivists and Librarians 1977-1979: CNR fellow 1979-1980: scholar at the University of Salerno 1981-1984: researcher at the University of Salerno 1985-1992: researcher at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" 1992-2001: associate professor at the University of Florence 2001-2004: Extraordinary Professor at the University of Florence 2004-: Professor at the University of Florence ----------------------- 2001-2007: Director of the Department of Medieval and Renaissance Studies and director of the magazine "Middle Ages and Renaissance" 2011-2012: Director of the Department of Sciences of Antiquity, Medieval and Renaissance and Linguistics Ph.D. in History and Tradition of Texts in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance (University of Florence), as a curriculum in the current Ph.D. in Philology, Italian Literature and Linguistics. ----------------------------------- Vice Chairman of the National Committee for the celebrations of the seventh centenary of Coluccio Salutati's death.
