Biography
Daniela Catarzi received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 1990 and Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1993. Both of her degrees have been awarded at the University of Florence, where Dr. Catarzi is a researcher since 1998. The first researches concerned the study and identification of ligands of the central benzodiazepine site and of new GABA A receptor antagonists . Recently, his focus has focused on the development of antagonists of both adenosine and glutamate receptors, which may represent new potential therapeutic agents for the treatment of many neurodegenerative diseases.
