Biography

1958 Born in Meldola (Forlì) 1984 Graduated in Biological Sciences, University of Bologna 1986-89 SIGMA TAU FOUNDATION FUNDER with a research entitled "L-Acetylcharnitine and Aging" 1993 Research Doctor with a Thesis titled "Aging and Apoptosis" 1993-1998 Unversity Researcher at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia 1998-present Associate Professor of General Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Florence Author of more than 120 works of which 104 in international magazines with referee. Holder of MIUR funds, the Ministry of Health and the European Community for research on various aspects of immunology and genetics of aging and longevity in humans. Didactic activity: Histopathology classes and lessons in the field of general pathology teaching for the course in Medicine and Surgery; holder of general pathology teaching in the Integrated Course of General Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Degree in "Nursing", Prato 1; holder of Immunohematology teaching in the Integrated Course of General Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacology and Anesthesiology, Degree in "Nursing", Prato1; Immunology and Immunology Labs (double the number of students) in the three-year Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology, SMFN Faculty of Education, University of Sudi, Bologna.
