Biography
Gaetano Aiello was born in Catania on January 26, 1961. He is Director of the Department of Economics and Business Sciences since November 2012. He was Director of the Department of Business Science from 2009 to 2012. He was President of the Course Of Degree in Marketing in the Faculty of Economics from 2004 to 2008 and Coordinator of the Department of Education at the Faculty of Economics from 2006 to 2009. He is an Ordinary Professor in Business Economics and Business Administration (SECS-P / 08) since 2005 and holds a teaching degree Of Marketing (Principles and Tools) in the Three Year Degree in Business Economics and Retail Marketing in the Master's Degree in Enterprise Governance. He is vice-president of the Italian Academy of Business Economics and member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Marketing Society. IS' a member of the Academy of Marketing Science, the Korean Scholars of Marketing Science, the Italian Society of Management and the European Marketing Academy. He is a member of the editorial board of the Micro and Macro Marketing journals, Journal of Global Fashion Marketing, Journal of Marketing Trends, Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science. IS' referee for the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics journals, Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, Journal of Business Research, Finance Marketing and Production, Markets and Competitiveness. The main research interests concern the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises, the international development of commercial distribution companies, territorial marketing and competition in the field of goods of high symbolic value.
