Biography
Laura Maleci, born in Padua on November 3, 1947, graduated in Natural Sciences at the University of Florence on July 8, 1970 with 110 and praise over 110. She specialized in the University of Pisa in Plant Science and Technique Medicines on 1.4.1982. He attended the Botanical Institute of the University of Florence from 1970-71, serving first as an assistant in the exercises, then as a minister and then as a contractor until 30.11.1976. On that date, winner of the competition for ordinary assistant at the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN. He has held this role until 21.11.1985.From 22.11.1985 until now he has served as Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Botany at the Faculty of Pharmacy, having passed the suitability test (Second Round), pursuant to Law 382/80. His research activity was directed, in the early years, to cytotoxic, cariological and anatomical studies that mainly concerned the Iris genus. After his specialization, his research has turned increasingly into histologic - anatomical studies of secant structures of plants of medicinal interest. After entering the Faculty of Pharmacy, this type of study, coupled with the chemical content analysis, conducted in collaboration with chemists, occupied most of its scientific interest. He is also interested in the effects of heavy metals on plants with particular emphasis on the possibility of accumulation and modifications caused by these to the morphology and anatomy of the plants themselves. Scientific activity has always been presented at both national and international congresses, as well as being the subject of publications. From the 70's to the 70's, he has always been a didactic activity: doing Botanica courses for the degree courses in Biological Sciences and Pharmacy and occasionally replacing the lecturer in the course of lectures, participating in examination committees and following some students in the course of thesis. From 1985 to 1986 he has held the Pharmacy Botanica course for Pharmacy degree. From 2010/11 she also holds the Animal and Plant Biology course for Degree courses in CTF and SFA. She has been a lecturer of numerous undergraduate theses both experimental and compilative.
